in Giving Back
FEEDBACK LOOPLetter from Equest Center, One of Our Giving Back Winners. We received this wonderful letter from Equest Center, one of the winners we've had in our 2013 Giving Back program. Equest Center has been in need of new business cards for a long, long time now! With so many needs at the center, such a small staff to cover so many areas, and a lack of design knowledge we have not been able to make it happen. And then Holland Litho came along!! How wonderful to have design choices that really fit the look of our center and are so informative and eye catching. Please thank your designer for the outstanding work. It is fantastic to have such professional pieces to represent Equest Center and enable to us share our mission to potential riders, schools, hospitals, volunteers, donors and supporters! Because of you we will be able to broaden our reach in the community and beyond and help even MORE special needs kids! Anyone who has been on a horse responds immediately to the power and strength of the animal. For the physically, emotionally and mentally challenged individual the experience offers a new view on life. Horses are a wonderful medium for relationships and for therapy in a natural environment. Riding therapy has proven to be a highly motivational and enriching therapeutic and educational modality for students to escape their crutches, wheelchairs & disabilities, replacing them with the gentle gait of a well-trained horse. Equest Center for Therapeutic Riding improves quality of life through equine-based therapy to physically, mentally and socially/emotionally challenged individuals. Our unique program integrates academic, social and physical skills, using the horse as a catalyst. Currently Equest Center serves 125-160 individuals of all ages each week with physical, mental and social/emotional disabilities with a waiting list of individuals to participate in programming. Our center is the only year round therapeutic riding program in West Michigan that owns its own facility complete with 34+ acres of pastoral land, indoor heated riding arena, outdoor riding arena, sensory riding trail, observation room, classroom, welcome center and stable area. Vital to the program is our faithful team of volunteers who have donated over 36,000 hours of service last year alone! A big FOUR-HOOVES UP to you and the entire Holland Litho crew for your generosity and support to all of us at Equest Center! We cannot thank you enough!
