Full color offset printing
We have two fully-automated KBA offset presses
HLPS has a reputation for producing vibrant color printing. It began with our roots, having 50 years of color separation and prepress experience and continues today with advanced printing technologies and our highly skilled press operators. We have KBA and Heidelberg presses ranging from 20" to 41". With two full shifts of operation, we offer quick response and plenty of capacity for your print projects whether large or small.
The KBA Rapida 106 – (6 color + Coater) is one of the most advanced sheetfed press available; Providing greater automation, in-line density control and adjustment, qualitronic color control with sheet scanning providing increased color control.
The KBA Rapida 106 – (5 color + Coater + Perfecting + Perforating) includes the same inline density and color controls along with some additional features: With a perfecting unit between units 2 and 3, we’re able to print two sides in one pass on any project with 2/3 colors or less! This press prints using UV inks with interstation UV lamps to immediately dry the ink and offers both spot or flood UV or Aqueous coating options. Additionally, this press comes equipped with some great additional features:
- a special foil printing package
- the CX equipment for paperboard packaging
- a perforating unit for perfing, scoring and die cutting inline
Heidelberg presses are known worldwide for their precision and state of the art technology. With ink key presets, auto plate load, auto blanket wash and density scanners. The SM 52 offers a unique advantage filling the niche between our digital print technologies and our full-size commercial presses.
All our presses are 5 or 6 color, capable of 4 color process plus a 5th and/or 6th in one pass! Skilled crafts people, quality equipment, high quality results, innovative solutions and competitive pricing have been hallmarks of our success.

We offer these standard offset coating options: Gloss, Satin and Matte and UV.
Special coatings include Soft Touch, No Curl Coating (for uncoated stoc) and Gloss Primer Coat, wax free and silicone free for foil stamping or laminating over.
Soft Touch is a coating that, when applied, creates a velvety texture. The paper becomes "soft" to the touch and increases the tactile appeal. Soft Touch coating creates a softer look and feel on printed materials than either aqueous or UV coating, while creating a barrier which is fingerprint resistant.
no-curl coating for uncoated stock
Water is used in the offset printing process, and the process itself, especially with uncoated stock, is susceptible to paper curl. As the printed sheet dries, it can warp and edges can curl, rather than remaining perfectly flat. A no-curl coating reduces or eliminates this problem. We'll let you know if you need to consider it.
gloss primer coat
A gloss primer coat is a wax-free and silicone-free coating for a sheet that will subsequently undergo foil stamping or laminating .
